I’ve had nurses who worked in Neonatal Intensive Care nurseries tell me how twins will stabilize and become calm when they are placed in the same isolette. This makes such sense, as they’ve been together from the moment of conception.
It seems crazy to me that the paranoia about babies in adult beds extends to twins in the same crib. Twins will not be obese or drunk or stoned. Because they are the same size, they will not roll over on each other and cause harm. They will not trap each other in the nooks and crannies of a sofa or a reclining chair. They will be on a firm surface, and reassure each other in the dark of the night.
