Making Our World better.
This morning I went to the Post Office to mail a package.
Usually, the Post Office is crowded. There are so many people there that I have to stand in line for 10 minutes or longer.
Today when I arrived, I was the only one there. The young man behind the counter waved at me to come to him; I said, “No, I think I will stand her for a while. I am not used to walking right in.”
We both laughed and started chatting. I commented that one of the many characteristics of this GOP administration is that they lack any sense of humor. They never make jokes nor smile nor ever seem to enjoy anything. He agreed with me and spoke about how he does his best to lighten the world around him.
That made me smile and I replied “that’s all we can do.” He said, “I try.”
“No,” I answered. “You are doing.”
I am still smiling.
