Here’s what has been said about the 20-Hour Basic, Comprehensive Breastfeeding Course:
From a RN/IBCLC:
“I was referred to your class by a local lactation consultant. She and I were roommates in college. I really enjoyed your class and was impressed with the fact that your teaching, influence, and advocating has transformed breastfeeding in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. I loved your warm, welcoming style and though zoom was hard and frustrating you really taught us a lot. I was so impressed with your willingness to teach and encourage all healthcare workers who are often on the front lines. I was also impressed with your openness about learning yourself how people of color have been sidelined and overlooked in breastfeeding work. I noticed your purposeful inclusion of many skin colors in your photos.
It has taken me a long time, but I wanted to express my appreciation for your class and for how you teach it, with a learning spirit.”
From a Navajo peer counselor:
“The format was clear and concise. The videos and group problem solving breakout rooms were helpful. I enjoyed the instructor and her knowledge.”
From a participant in a virtual class:
“Nikki made the class interactive and casual, and welcomed questions. I enjoyed the breakout sessions where we worked on case studies.”
